Dear Friends, Families and Local Businesses,
Woodstock Little League offers the opportunity for all Woodstock children ages 4 through 16 to play baseball or softball with their friends and classmates. Woodstock Little League strives to be an organization that provides a positive experience in which all participants (1) have fun learning and playing the game of baseball/softball, (2) feel like part of the team regardless of performance or skill level, (3) learn about values, respect, fair play, sportsmanship and teamwork and (4) build new friendships in a safe and supportive athletic environment.
Like many small organizations, Woodstock Little League operates on a tight budget and we are continually looking for ways to help offset the ever present increases in costs associated with operating our league. Now, more than ever, Woodstock Little League will need to rely on the generosity of our community to help provide a fun and positive experience for our children. Last season, thanks in large part to the generosity of our local business sponsors, we completed two major improvements to our facility. A new batting cage featuring two hitting tunnels and a turf hitting surface and a new infield for our softball field. These additions will benefit all players for years to come. In the upcoming season we are looking to replace the baseball infield giving both baseball and softball players improved playing surfaces.
We are also hopeful that we will be able to make further improvements to our playing fields at Roseland Park. These improvements will include routine maintenance costs associated with spreading grass seed and fertilizer, painting and maintaining our concession/scoreboard stands as well as working on improvements to the baseball bullpens and a beginning planning for a softball bullpen.
Outside of the yearly player registration fee, which we strive to make affordable for our members, Woodstock Little League relies solely on the generous donations from community members and fundraising to maintain and improve our facilities and equipment. In addition to the items mentioned above, donations also go toward subsidizing normal field maintenance and operating costs, including sprinkler system costs, first aid kits and purchasing supplies and equipment.
RETURNING for the upcoming 2026 season, WLL will be displaying sponsorship banners on our outfield fences with any donation of $250 or more. As in previous years, WLL will continue to acknowledge all donors. All sponsors will be acknowledged on the Woodstock Little League website for the 2026 season. This will include a listing of the full name of your business, contact information, description, logo and link to your business website (if applicable). We will also recognize your business at our Opening and Closing
Ceremonies, which historically have been attended by over 350 people. We feel that these gestures encourage our families to support local businesses that have become part of the Woodstock Little League family.
Regardless of your involvement as a friend, family or local business, please know that your donation is making a difference for our youth and helping to create the lasting memories of a Little League experience. Thank you for considering this request.
